Advertising Software VideoAmp Appoints Wendell Younkins as CAO

Software and data platform, VideoAmp, today announced the addition of Wendell Younkins as Chief Accounting Officer to its leadership team. Younkins joins at a pivotal time for the market-leading media measurement and optimization company as it sets its sights on exponential growth.

At VideoAmp, Younkins will aid in scaling the company’s infrastructure to accommodate its rapid revenue growth, which includes building a team and strengthening internal controls to meet the rigor required of a fast-growing company. Younkins will report to newly appointed CFO, Paul Ross.

Younkins joins VideoAmp in the newly created role of Chief Accounting Officer following a 20-year tenure at NBCU. Holding many roles throughout his time with the media giant, he most recently served as SVP, Global Controller of Television Distribution where he managed $6.5 billion in revenue for the company. Younkins also managed the financial aspect of GE’s public spin off of NBC.

VideoAmp is ramping up investment in their product and engineering teams. Advancements will build off of VideoAmp’s proprietary commingled dataset, which is considered the most trusted and highest quality in the marketplace due to its scale and proprietary methodology used for combining various data sources. The dataset commingles ACR and Set-Top-Box data across 28M households and integrates into multiple digital data sources using first-to-market privacy-safe methodologies like clean rooms. The use of clean rooms allows VideoAmp to accurately measure media on an impression level, with technological guarantees, while adhering to privacy guidelines and state laws. VideoAmp’s data, combined with a comprehensive toolset for planning, measurement, optimization and attribution, are all housed within the VideoAmp platform and provide a deduplicated view of advertising performance across linear, streaming and digital. The suite of tools and data enables marketers and media owners to reimagine the way brand marketing and media is valued, bought and sold.
