Flexa to Acquire Drop Party

Innovative Experience-Based Marketing Firm to Bolster Flexa’s Product Offerings Both In-Store and Online Drop Party Founder & Chief Executive Officer will be appointed to Chief Marketing Officer of Flexa.

Flexa, the world’s leading pure-digital payments network, today announced that it intends to acquire Drop Party, a marketing technology company that creates engaging customer experiences via live events, performances, and online campaigns.

Founded in 2020, Drop Party aims to deepen the relationship between a brand and a fan, allowing them to own a piece of the experience in the form of high-quality products. Drop Party manages services from end-to-end including design and sourcing, production, fulfillment, and customer service.

Drop Party will join the suite of Flexa product offerings and will bolster Flexa’s commitment to merchants, facilitating promotional campaigns that are memorable, creative, and seamless. Under the Flexa umbrella, the Drop Party team will continue to focus on supporting new drop parties that further connect fans and Flexa merchants, evolve loyalty platforms, and integrate new technologies like NFTs and instant digital payments. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The company’s founders Marco Marandiz, current Chief Executive Officer, and Shayan Hashimoto, current Chief Operating Officer, will lead Flexa’s new marketing offering from its current Austin, Texas headquarters, and Marandiz will assume the role of Chief Marketing Officer of Flexa.
