Mobi.AI, a human collaborative AI company focused on delivering transformational customer experiences for B2B clients in travel, tourism and hospitality, today announced it was named the People’s Choice Winner and runner-up for Travel Innovator of the Year at Phocuswright 2024, a leading travel conference featuring data-driven research, startup showcases and thought leadership from industry pioneers. Mobi VP of Product Harriet Brown, former product lead for Google Flights, delivered the Launch presentation featuring Mobi’s new Intent Driven Search product.
Phocuswright 2024 brought together hundreds of the world’s travel leaders spanning hospitality, online travel agencies, airlines and investors. Phocuswright’s Innovation: Launch program showcases companies breaking new ground in the tourism space and launching new innovations. Competitors enter a lightning pitch to the PhocusGroup, a panel of eight industry and investment professionals, to unveil and demonstrate their innovation, followed by a Q&A session and interview with industry leaders.
The lightning format challenges companies to distill the impact and differentiation of their latest offerings, aiming to convince judges and attendees of their importance in six minutes. “Of course, I’m excited about the acknowledgement we received, but I’m more excited about the opportunity IDS brings to the industry. After all, every hotel has a search box, it might as well be a better one,” said Brown.
“We set a goal to win the Launch program this year, and we are incredibly proud of the dual honors we achieved,” said Anna Jaffe, CEO of Mobi. “The presentation perfectly captured how Mobi’s Intent Driven Search is so impactful to the hospitality industry by driving direct bookings and increasing top of funnel engagement. Harriet beautifully captured the essence of IDS as well as the imagination of the judges and attendees.”
Mobi IDS ingests, cleans and structures data from multiple sources to provide real-time and accurate information about anything and everything surrounding any property, from dining and transportation options to activities, attractions, wildlife and more. This creates a transformational customer experience for travel, tourism and hospitality companies by unlocking the ability to offer experience-led searches using natural language to provide highly personalized recommendations for any customer query.
Eleven companies competed in the Launch program including Snowflake, Bill, Superlogic, Juniper Travel Technology, Katanox, Traversing.ai, Logitix, KeyBrain, Daytrip and Arena. Over the past 25 years, more than 629 participants have graced the stage at Phocuswright’s events to showcase travel evolution.
