Mountaingate Capital, a Colorado-based private equity firm that specializes in partnering with founders and entrepreneurial companies to accelerate growth and build industry leaders, is pleased to announce that it has sold its position in Bold Orange, a leading end-to-end customer experience (CX) company for enterprise brands, in connection with a sale of the company to funds affiliated with Beringer Capital.
The exit of its investment in Bold Orange by Mountaingate represents yet another highly successful outcome for Mountaingate in a tech-enabled and analytics-driven services platform. Mountaingate partnered with Bold Orange and its Founder/CEO, Margaret Murphy, in 2018, to support the growth and development of the business from its inception. Today, Bold Orange has expanded to over 160 employees and serves a blue-chip client base across multiple highly attractive end markets, including manufacturers & dealer networks, financial services, healthcare, software, and multi-unit retail & eCommerce. Bold Orange leads the transformation of customer experience through integrating data, strategy, technology and creativity to deliver personalized experiences at scale.
Through significant investments in the company’s infrastructure and operations, two strategic add-on acquisitions, and broad-based expansion of the team and talent base, Bold Orange became a leading independent full-service CX company turning customer data into business driving experiences. Bold Orange operates in three key disciplines — Strategy & Insights, Experience Design & Delivery, and Technology Solutions — that together provide the expertise clients need to navigate the complex CX landscape.
“It has been a pleasure to partner with the Bold Orange team from inception through over seven years of transformative growth. The superb execution of the strategic plan we developed at the outset of our partnership led to exceptional growth and major new client wins,” said Jay Royston of Mountaingate. “Congratulations to the entire team at Bold Orange on the tremendous outcome and thank you to the team at Canaccord Genuity for supporting us in finding an ideal partner to support the future success of the business.”
Bold Orange and Mountaingate Capital were advised by global investment bank Canaccord Genuity and law firm Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
