SGK, a brand experience and packaging agency with over 30 years of heritage in APAC, is expanding its business in South Korea to answer the growing demand for integrated brand marketing in the region.

The Seoul office will be SGK’s 10th location in APAC, adding to its network of five business units across AustraliaGreater ChinaIndiaJapan and Southeast Asia. Drawing on the strength of both local talent and the power of its global resource, SGK assists brands in Korea in brand-led business transformations.

SGK Seoul is in Seongsu-dong, a revitalised destination frequented by cool in-the-know creatives. Previously home to many small and medium-sized factories, today the neighborhood preserves the authenticity of its industrial past, while creating new stories with new, trendy establishments. The choice of location reflects SGK’s philosophy of telling stories that connect and create memorable experiences for consumers.

“The marketing landscape is more complex than ever before. To cut through the clutter, you need to create brand moments that matter and create them at the speed of culture – on all channels,” says Kathryn Sloane, SGK’s Managing Director, APAC MEA. “Our new space reflects our uniquely integrated approach to packaging, content and brand experiences, supporting new ways to engage consumers across their journey, with methodologies custom-built to embrace APAC’s rich and diverse cultures and breakneck pace.”

Digital transformation has accelerated nowhere more than in APAC, the world’s most digital-first region. To help brands merge physical and digital touchpoints at scale and speed, SGK Korea is expanding to bring strategy, creative, consultancy, content production, and premedia teams under one roof. Working across a broad spectrum of Fortune 500 brands, SGK’s Seoul accounts include American Express, Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble and S.C. Johnson.

“At SGK, we’re committed to answering our clients’ needs, wherever they are,” says Reiko Nakamura, Managing Director, SGK Japan/Korea. That is why we’re here to tell their stories well across cultures and markets, with the ultimate goal of creating fans—not just customers.”
