Flow Networks, creator of the Flow Platform that connects issuers and merchants with customers at the moment of payment and beyond, announced today that Tom Weakland has joined the organization as a retained executive.
Weakland brings to Flow an impressive track record with 35 years of strategic leadership experience as a business and technology strategist. He brings tremendous insight, advice and expertise to Flow Networks, including his deep history of helping businesses maximize technology capabilities to achieve their goals.
Weakland will provide expertise to Flow Networks as they scale up operations to meet early client demand and ramp up to the demands of 17,000 issuers and 55 million merchants worldwide.
Flow Networks Co-Founder Chris Boncimino said, “Flow is excited to enhance our team with the wealth of knowledge Tom brings. As our organization continues to grow and expand our platform to new customers, I’m confident Tom will play a big role in enhancing Flow Networks’ vision to revolutionize opportunities for card issuers and merchants as they connect in novel ways with their customers through our platform.”
Weakland expressed his excitement in accepting the role, saying, “I’ve known and worked with Chris for almost 25 years. The company’s vision, passion and strategy for improving customer, issuer and merchant engagement and experience across the payments ecosystem is truly game-changing. I look forward to hard work, converting the masses to the power of the digital receipt and changing the payments industry with the Flow team.”
Flow Networks offers an intuitive and powerful platform built on top of any payment feed, enabling card issuers and merchants to engage with customers multiple times a day, based on the customer’s real-time payment behavior. This new level of merchant-customer connectivity reduces waste, increases engagement, and builds brand value.
