Triton Digital Releases the May 2024 U.S. Podcast Ranker

Triton DigitalĀ®, the global technology and services provider to the digital audio, podcast, and broadcast radio industries, announced today the release of its May 2024 reporting period (April 29, 2024 – June 2, 2024),Ā U.S. Podcast Ranker, as measured by Triton’s Podcast Metrics measurement service.

This month we welcome the iHeart Audience Network to our U.S. Podcast Ranker. With the influx of new iHeart Audience Network podcasts, we’ve increased our numbers for both the Top Podcasts by Weekly Average Downloads and Top Podcasts by Weekly Average Users to now include the top 150.

iHeart Audience Network earned the #1 spot on the Top Sales Networks Report for the month of May, with 67.4M Average Weekly Downloads and 18.6M Average Weekly Users. SiriusXM Podcast Network came in at #2 with 38.5M Average Weekly Downloads and 12.9M Average Weekly Users, followed by NPR at #3 with 24.6M Average Weekly Downloads and 6.4M Average Weekly Users.

For this reporting period, the top three podcasts based on downloads includedĀ NPR News NowĀ (NPR) again at #1,Ā Up FirstĀ (NPR) again at #2, andĀ Dateline NBCĀ (NBCUniversal News Group) climbing to #3.

For listeners, the top three podcasts includedĀ NPR News NowĀ (NPR) again at #1,Ā Crime JunkieĀ (audiochuck) again at #2, andĀ Up FirstĀ (NPR) again at #3.

There were several debuts for the month of May includingĀ Stuff You Should KnowĀ (iHeart Audience Network) andĀ MrBallen’s Medical MysteriesĀ (Wondery) debuting for both downloads and listeners.Ā Smosh Reads Reddit StoriesĀ (The Roost Podcast Network) debuts for downloads andĀ The Economics of Everyday ThingsĀ (SiriusXM Podcast Network) andĀ It’s Been a Minute With Sam SandersĀ (NPR) debuts for listeners.

The Top Sales Network Reports are ranked by Average Weekly Downloads and Average Weekly Users in accordance with v2.1 of the IAB Podcast Technical Measurement Guidelines. Participating Sales Networks include content owners/creators and sales representation organizations.
