YourRoom, the new market research tool that bridges the gap between primary and secondary data, is now available for all marketers.
With YourRoom, marketers can quickly and cheaply test early-stage ideas before moving on to more time consuming and expensive research. The platform creates “rooms” for discussing any topic, from FMCG concepts to B2B product ideas. Rooms are populated with four customisable agentic AI personas who engage in a group conversation with the user. Each persona has its own individual demographic profile and is powered by a separate and distinct large language model (LLM).
Once inside the room, users control the conversation. They can direct the discussion to focus on specific issues, and invite individual personas to elaborate on interesting contributions. At the end of the session, YourRoom displays a summary of the conversation, a list of highlighted contributions, and provides access to a full transcript.
YourRoom is powered by a new, cutting-edge type of software called an “intelligence selection engine.” This orchestrates the actions of multiple LLMs and an AI to incorporate a human user into a single, flowing conversation. Thanks to its advanced new design, the YourRoom prototype was named Best AI Innovation and Best AI Solution at the 2024 Global Business Tech Awards earlier this year.
While YourRoom most directly replicates a focus group (a long-time staple of primary marketing research), it is not designed to replace either primary or secondary research. Instead, YourRoom is an opportunity for marketers to quickly and inexpensively road-test concepts with groups of personas based on demographic profiles before investing in costly and time-consuming primary research like surveys or real world focus groups.
When users launch a new session they have the option of choosing from existing groups of curated personas or creating a new customised group. Each persona is equipped with a unique, individual “backstory” (including details such as home ownership, profession, job title, income, marital status, number of children, and more).
To further ensure a diversity of perspectives in each room, each persona is powered by a distinct and separately trained LLM with its own algorithms and datasets. In addition to further helping the personas behave like four distinct people, using diverse LLMs also mitigates against inherent AI bias.
YourRoom is designed to allow its developers to swap new LLMs in and out quickly as needed. Which LLMs are used is constantly changing as new and better ones come online.
At the time of YourRoom’s launch in December 2024, the most commonly used models include: Meta’s Llama, Mistral AI’s Mixtrel, Gryphe’s Mythomax, and OpenAI’s ChatGPT4.0.
In recent tests with senior marketing executives, YourRoom has been praised as an important new technology for augmenting market research, making it faster and more cost efficient.

YourRoom is currently available to all marketers as a free trial. The Free Room tier includes access to one customisable group and 25 credits per month. The Small Room tier is priced at $49 per month and includes access to five customisable groups and 250 credits per month. The Big Room is priced at $99 per month and includes access to 25 customisable groups, 500 credits per month, and 3D avatar immersive chat.
