The new capabilities place RingCentral in an enviable spot, according to research conducted by GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.
Gregg Willsky, Principal Analyst at GlobalData, says: “The RingCX and RingCentral Events offers mark the latest milestone in RingCentral’s rapid build out of its generative AI arsenal.”
GlobalData analysis finds that with this expansion of the RingSense platform, RingCentral maintains a pace with rivals who have recently responded to the emergence of ChatGPT with their own succession of generative AI offers.
Willsky observes: “RingCX and RingCentral Events are positioned wisely given the trepidation surrounding generative AI.”
Generative AI has been quite heralded but also much maligned since the time it arrived. The capabilities for which it has been celebrated have also instilled widespread fear among the public that generative AI will soon substitute hard-earned skills.
Willsky concludes: “The new features and functionality provide RingCentral with upsell opportunities and thus the chance to draw greater revenue from its existing base. The company must find a way to factor customer acquisition more into the go-to-market equation.
