Redis, Inc. today announced the appointment of Tom Rabaut as Chief Customer Officer (CCO). Rabaut will report to Redis CEO Rowan Trollope, overseeing the company’s global customer success and support, solution architects, professional services, and field engineering teams with a focus on delivering a unified pre-sales, post-sales, and customer support experience across a customer’s Redis journey.

For over 10,000 companies globally, Redis Cloud and Redis Enterprise deliver a real-time data layer for fast, scalable applications and innovative digital experiences that drive customer adoption by offering the lowest latency from anywhere. Rabaut will drive alignment across the company’s customer-facing functions, enhance collaboration with the go-to-market organization, and ultimately foster strong relationships with the Redis customer and developer community.

“Redis is obsessed with delighting and delivering value to our community. I’m thrilled to bring Tom’s extensive expertise in building customer and developer-focused cultures to continue our commitment to every Redis user’s success,” said Trollope. “With Tom joining our go-to-market leadership team, we will ensure we are working with customers throughout the entire sales cycle, delivering continuous support, and providing value-added services that optimize our users’ investment with Redis.”

Rabaut joins Redis from cloud security company Zscaler, where he served as Senior Vice President of Customer Engagement. In his four years at the company, Rabaut was responsible for customer success, solution consulting, professional services, and renewals as part of the go-to-market leadership team that grew Zscaler from $400 million to over $2 billion in annual reoccurring revenue. Previously, Rabaut spent eight years at AppDynamics, beginning in the company’s sales engineering group and eventually being appointed Vice President of Product Management. As one of AppDynamics’ first 50 employees, Rabaut helped grow the company from $12M to over $800M in revenue, including a $3.8B acquisition by Cisco.

“Redis presents a unique and exciting opportunity because it not only has a far-reaching customer and developer community, but it’s also widely loved by users because of a commitment to simple, smart technology principles,” said Rabaut. “Rowan, the company’s go-to-market leaders, and the entire company have established a foundation for us to create and align behind innovative programs and services that will delight and expand the Redis customer and developer community.”
