Aki Technologies, the company that helps marketers target pivotal moments using personalized advertising, today announced its continued momentum with the hiring of key Sales Directors. The new Sales Directors are:

Ryan Gelisse, based in Detroit

April Porchia, based in Arkansas

Mary Beth Agase, based in Chicago

Matt Goynes, based in Dallas-Forth Worth

The newest members of the sales team bring notable expertise to Aki Technologies. Ryan Gelisse was previously at SITO mobile, where he helped marketers and agencies leverage consumer behavior for targeted media solutions. Gelisse previously worked at Carat, Google, Microsoft and AOL. April Porchia brings a host of experience from her buying days at Walmart corporate, her business development role at Disney, her sales position at Unilever, and most recently her social media influencer marketing sales role at Inmar/Collective Bias. Mary Beth Agase has worked with brands such as Quaker and Pepsi as well as with agencies; Agase consulted with Aki before joining the Chicago team full time. Matt Goynes developed and managed a full sales funnel for the Texas and Oklahoma region of NinthDecimal; before NinthDecimal, Goynes led Twitter’s mobile app re-engagement sales efforts in the Southwest.

These recruits position Aki Technologies to handle emerging business in expanded geographies and enlarge Aki’s personalization and video offerings. Being aware of and sensitive to a consumer’s state of mind in a particular moment has always been Aki’s mission. Throughout the pandemic, Aki has continued to deliver salient insights about consumer receptivity and has guided clients to best optimize personalized messaging and drive sales. In 2020, Aki helped nearly 4 million consumers put 6 million products in shopping carts. As a result, the company is growing and will be developing additional retail product suites that it will unveil in 2021.

“I am proud of Aki’s innovation and resilience as demonstrated by our ability to not only survive but thrive during 2020, a unique time of challenge for our industry,” said Scott Swanson, CEO. “I’m happy that Aki is adding these experienced experts to the team to further support our clients as they branch out into video and personalization.”

The hires follow a period of continued growth for the company. In January 2020, Aki Technologies acquired the technological assets of Eyeview, which bolstered Aki’s video and personalization offerings. The company also hired Stephanie Klimaszewski to serve as VP of Marketing and launched a CPG division, which brought on Risa Crandall, Cristina Costa and Alexa Williams to head sales efforts in that vertical. In September, Aki Technologies was recognized by Martech Breakthrough Awards for its video innovation. And in December, Aki hired David Sanderson to head Creative Solutions.

Aki Technologies also increased its revenue by 25% year over year. Sales increased 70% from Q4 2019 to Q4 2020. Aki now has offices in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago as well as Dallas, Detroit, and Bentonville. Aki now counts 110 employees with plans to hire another 15 this year in order to support new business endeavors.
