IMPRESSIVE BUSINESS PERFORMANCE
In 2020 Yottaa continued its trend of tremendous revenue growth as the company won new customers across retail, D2C, CPG, and B2B segments. Yottaa reported a 34% year-over-year increase in second half bookings and nearly 30% growth for the full year. The number of websites served by Yottaa increased over 200% and traffic increased over 70%. To meet the growing demand for its solutions, the company invested in critical talent growth in H2, ending the year with a 27% year-over-year increase in headcount. Through its online retail and brand customers, Yottaa ended the year influencing over $20B of annual online sales.
NEW PRODUCTS AND ENHANCEMENTS
In order to help brands evolve their digital transformations, Yottaa launched several new products and feature innovations in 2020. These products and enhancements enable online retailers and brands to provide fast, engaging, and secure online experiences to their shoppers, resulting in higher digital sales. New products and features focused on faster performance, Yottaa’s unique analytics capabilities, and security, including:
Service Flow
One of Yottaa’s newest eCommerce tech features, Service Flow enables brands to see an aggregated view of all 3rd party technologies and services on their site and how they are impacting page performance. By showing a waterfall view of how all 3rd parties are loading, retailers can drill down to see details about each 3rd party, including: the order the services are executing, how many site performance violations the 3rd party causes, and how 3rd parties perform across the industry through a performance impact rating. SERVICE CTRL
With the dramatic increase in eCommerce traffic over the past year, security threats have grown as well. Potential points of vulnerability include the services and 3rd parties running across an eCommerce site, especially if they have access to shopper data. SERVICE CTRL is an easy-to-install, robust eCommerce governance solution to control all browser services on eCommerce sites. Combining Yottaa’s ability to take control over how a page loads and our rich knowledge of 3rd parties and other services, SERVICE CTRL enables brands to control when and where all services are being executed, including 3rd parties and internal services retailers intend to have on site, as well as services that are not welcome and should be blocked. Through deep visibility and control over external services, SERVICE CTRL empowers brands to detect and mitigate Magecart attacks, form scraping, and other online security vulnerabilities.
Shopify Page Speed Accelerator
Over 800 merchants on the Shopify eCommerce platform installed Yottaa in 2020. Now Shopify brands can easily add Yottaa’s Page Speed Accelerator to their sites through the Shopify App Marketplace. With just one click, over one million Shopify merchants can get the same enterprise grade acceleration technology used by some of the largest and best known eCommerce brands. Starting with the free version, these Shopify brands can gain deep visibility into their site’s performance through Yottaa’s analytics, and then instantly start speeding up their site by upgrading in 1-click through the app. This product offering includes Shopify-specific site performance configurations and page categories so that brands can start using Page Speed Accelerator with minimal setup time once they upgrade.
Aggregated Performance Data
To provide even more insight into site performance, Yottaa added multiple new dashboards, including a traffic dashboard to show where site traffic is coming from based on device and browser; an anomaly dashboard to investigate spikes or drops in site performance metrics; and a performance dashboard for real-time site performance metrics, such as onload time, first byte time, and domain lookup time. Due to the deep performance data gained from these dashboards, many online brand executives and teams are making them a central part of their eCommerce management cadence.
Conversion Insights
Because Yottaa helps over 1,500 eCommerce sites improve page speed and overall site performance, we have seen first-hand that conversion rates increase when sites become faster. In 2020, in order to provide greater insight and evidence on just how much site speed impacts conversion rates, Yottaa brought the conversion increase data we have achieved for our clients into our portal analytics. As a result of these findings, we have added this data to our Shopify product offering. Now Shopify merchants can see how their site compares to competing sites in terms of speed and conversion.
