Productsup, the leading ecommerce data integration company, today announced it has appointed Thomas Kasemir to the new role of Chief Product Officer. Kasemir will lead the global engineering and product management teams and will focus on accelerating product innovation. He will be reporting to Productsup’s Co-CEO Kai Seefeldt.
“Thomas joins us at a particularly interesting time. Last year we not only reached profitability, but also had profitable growth, adding close to 100 new brands, such as Sephora, Electrolux, and OBI, to our roster. Thomas is a global technology executive with a proven track record of scaling diverse teams through change and transforming businesses. I am certain that with him on board, we can take our offering to the next level and help more businesses succeed in ecommerce,” said Kai Seefeldt, Co-CEO, Productsup.
Kasemir has more than 20 years of experience, having held senior product roles at IBM, Heiler Software, and Informatica. He joins Productsup from Informatica, where he served for eight years as Vice President of Product Development at MDM Solutions. Kasemir has managed teams across multiple markets, coached talent, grown software products into enterprise solutions, and developed necessary structures and processes to ensure companies’ sustainable growth. His technical know-how, together with his exceptional leadership skills, will be essential to Productsup’s continued growth trajectory.
Productsup helps companies reach more customers and maximize sales. The company’s pioneering Commerce Marketing Platform enables businesses to improve their ecommerce performance by providing complete visibility of product data across all channels and the ability to make updates in real-time. Users can also integrate product feeds and meet channel requirements on their own instead of relying on managed services by leveraging Productsup’s visual self-service platform. From Google Shopping and Amazon to Pinterest and Facebook, Productsup enables companies to successfully aggregate, optimize, and distribute product data across more than 2,500 marketplaces and channels.
Over the past year, Productsup reached profitability, expanded partnerships, achieved successful customer outcomes, and grew revenue. It was recognized by Gartner in its June 2020 Cool Vendors in Digital Commerce report, named a finalist in the 2020 Digiday Technology Awards for Best E-Commerce Technology, and launched ‘Productsup Academy’ to offer online training and certifications in feed management and syndication. The team also recently appointed Stefan Sonntag as SVP of Sales Engineering and Lisette Huyskamp as SVP of Marketing.
“Especially with the rise of social commerce, ecommerce success will more than ever depend on the capability to easily manage product feeds across numerous target platforms. Productsup has the right product, technology, and team to address this outstanding market opportunity, and I’m very excited to be part of their success story,” Kasemir said.
