Interview with SVP and Country Leader, Salesforce – Sunil Jose

1. Tell us a little about yourself and your role at your organization?
As the Country Leader for Salesforce India, I work alongside a multi-talented team to help customers drive digital transformation in their businesses enabling them to be more innovative, agile and customer-centric. In my current role, I’m responsible for providing strategic long term direction to the company’s business, driving the next phase of growth for Salesforce in India. My endeavor is to help the organization scale and grow by enabling the team to envisage the big picture by infusing fresh thinking, positive energy & the attitude to win.

2. What do you think is the one feature that you advised this year to plug in a better actionable customer relationship management model?

Our vision is to help our customers reach theirs by understanding consumer behavior and better engaging consumers on what they’re interested in.

We believe our customers should stay ahead of trends like AI and IoT and access innovation at speed and scale and continue to work towards providing them that experience.

3. Dreamforce seems to be in full gear currently. Can you give us a sneak-peak into your speech at the event? What topics are you mainly looking forward to digressing onto?
I’m not speaking at Dreamforce, however, you should be sure to discover new products and get hands-on with the technology of tomorrow. Attend sessions, workshops, and keynotes, plus hear insights from the experts. Then camp out with thousands of demos and solutions from both Salesforce and partners.

Sunil is currently the Senior Vice President and Country Leader for Salesforce India. In his current role, Sunil is responsible for providing the strategic long-term direction driving the next phase of growth for Salesforce in India. Sunil believes Salesforce is uniquely positioned to make real, the agenda of digital transformation for customers in India. Best described as a business leader, an industry veteran, and a technologist, Sunil has over 25 years of leadership experience in the technology industry encompassing enterprise technology expertise, sales and marketing proficiency. Prior to joining Salesforce, Sunil was Managing Director at Teradata India.
Sunil was also associated as the Vice President for the Applications line of business with Oracle. Sunil worked at Sybase and also spent close to a decade at IBM managing various functions across the APAC region. Sunil started his career with HCL, and moved on to work in various geographies, which included the Middle East. Sunil holds a Post-Graduation in Business Administration and Management, from India’s acclaimed Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).

Salesforce is an American cloud-based software company headquartered in San Francisco, California. Though the bulk of its revenue comes from its customer-relationship management (CRM) service, Salesforce also sells a complementary suite of enterprise applications focused on customer service, marketing automation, analytics and application development.
