Plat4orm PR, a full-service strategic communications agency

Plat4orm PR, a full-service strategic communications agency, today announced that Erin Harrison has joined the agency as a managing director. Based in New York, Harrison draws on more than two decades of experience as an award-winning writer, editor and communications specialist driving PR campaigns for legal technology companies and services providers. She will be responsible for client management, business development and a range of marketing efforts.

Harrison’s appointment follows a period of rapid growth for Plat4orm PR, which specializes in the legal, security, telecom and financial technology sectors. The move is designed to ensure the continuation of high-quality service delivery to the agency’s growing roster of clients.

“In order to provide clients with strategic communications counsel, an in-depth knowledge of technology and the business and practice of law is required,” said Valerie Chan, Founder and Principal, Plat4orm PR. “As an accomplished communications specialist and veteran legal journalist, Erin brings a level of insight and experience that is often hard to find. She is focused on meeting and exceeding client expectations and will be an invaluable asset to our team. We are thrilled to have her on board.”

Most recently, Harrison served as executive editor and co-author of the Blickstein Group’s forthcoming Legal AI Efficacy Report. Prior to joining Plat4orm PR, she was a managing director at Baretz+Brunelle, a strategic communications firm based in New York City, responsible for driving PR strategies for legal technology companies and services providers. An accomplished business journalist, Harrison was also at the helm of two of the legal industry’s most prominent publications—as editor-in-chief of ALM Media’s Legaltech News and InsideCounsel publications. She also played an integral editorial leadership role in the 2016 relaunch of ALM’s global newsroom.

“The Plat4orm PR team is comprised of dedicated communications experts who truly understand the go-to-market opportunities and challenges within the legal technology sector,” Harrison said. “Having worked with Valerie’s team when I was an editor, I know firsthand the results the agency brings to its clients. I am extremely excited to be part of the team.”

Named among the 2016 Folio Top Women in Media, Harrison was recognized as a “Director-Level Doer” for her work in building new digital media products and for elevating the Legaltech News brand during her tenure with ALM Media. She also served as a member of the Legaltech/Legalweek and cyberSecure advisory boards and has been a frequent moderator at major industry conferences including Legaltech, cyberSecure, Women, Influence and Power in the Law (WIPL) and ILTACON. Harrison earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Sacred Heart University.
