Suite Studios Announces S3 Native File Streaming

Cloud-Native Platform Enables Creative Teams to Collaborate on Massive Media Libraries Directly From S3 Compatible Object Storage

Suite Studios, a cloud-native platform that connects creative teams to their media in real time, today announced S3 Native File Streaming, a major enhancement that allows teams to work directly on petabyte-scale datasets stored in any S3 compatible object storage environment.

With S3 Native File Streaming, Suite now operates natively on object storage, reading and writing files as standard S3 objects. The platform serves as a streaming and access layer within existing workflows – instantly enabling global collaboration at scale without requiring data migration, duplication, or re-ingestion.

Suite Studios’ file-streaming technology allows teams to access and work instantly on massive project files by only streaming the data they need, when they need it – without full downloads. This approach dramatically reduces startup times, local storage demands, and collaboration friction across large, complex productions – all while ensuring every team member is working on the latest version. Unlike traditional file sync, which mirrors entire files locally, Suite is purpose-built for speed, efficiency, and scale for modern creative workflows.

“Suite Studios has been a leading file streaming solution within the creative industry,” said Craig Hering, Co-Founder and CEO of Suite Studios. “With this latest release, teams can now seamlessly connect Suite directly to their S3 compatible storage – unlocking Suite’s performance, security, and global connectivity with a single switch.”

Key Benefits for Customers:

  • Enable Instantly with No Migration: There is zero migration deployment with Suite’s S3 Native File Streaming. Teams work directly on existing data in S3 compatible storage with zero migration, duplication, syncing, or re-ingestion.
  • Single Source of Truth: Maintain consistent access and eliminate version sprawl by working on standard objects in customer-owned S3 compatible storage.
  • Real-time Performance: Byte-range file streaming delivers predictable and reliable access across network conditions, from anywhere in the world, with local-disk-like performance.
  • Enterprise Ready by Design: Suite fits into existing pipelines and governance models, allowing IT teams to maintain full ownership and control of storage, Identity Access Management, security policies, logging, and lifecycle management.

“This is exactly the kind of innovation we get excited about – anything that removes friction from our workflow and lets us move faster is a win, and this does both,” said Scott Millar, CTO of MDLR Technologies. “Having everything instantly accessible, organized, and ready to go means we get more time to focus on what’s important. It’s going to fundamentally change how quickly we can collaborate, iterate, and deliver – especially at the scale we work at.”

Suite’s S3 Native File Streaming integrates seamlessly with existing workflows utilizing Media Asset Management (MAM), Digital Asset Management (DAM), render, and archive systems – without gateways, proxies, or proprietary translation layers. The platform has planned support for AWS, Backblaze, Cloudflare, IBM, Azure, GCP, Wasabi, and on-premises object storage deployments.
