“I am so humbled to be selected by FOLIO: for the 2020 Class of Top Women in Media alongside so many talented businesswomen who have made a lasting impact on our industry,” said Jennings. “For over a century, women in media have fought tirelessly to pave the way for future generations to follow. I started my career in TV before founding Jennings Social Media & MarTech at the age of 24, and I am reminded every day of the sacrifices those before me made in order for me to take a leadership role and have a voice of my own.”
The FOLIO: Awards have honored some of the biggest names in the media industry in three categories: change-makers, who have successfully altered the course of their brands or companies for the better; corporate champions, who have steered their companies into new markets for measurable growth; and entrepreneurs, who have launched or rebuilt companies and continue to work tirelessly toward their success.
An early adopter of social media since 2005, Jennings founded Jennings Social Media & MarTech (JSMM) in 2003 and founded a second creative agency, Viral Bolt Media (VBM), in 2012. As a business leader, entrepreneur and influencer, she has positioned her agencies for rapid growth and early adoption of new marketing technology.
Jennings was recently featured in Forbes as a top innovator. She will also be moderating a digital panel for the 2020 Midwest Digital Marketing Conference on running a successful marketing agency. Additional accolades include being named DMN 2020 Marketer of the Year, DMN 40Under40 Class of 2018, Kansas City’s Most Wanted Class of 2015 and Most Influential Women in Business Class of 2014.
