Publisher Collective Appoints Andrew Buckman as CEO

Publisher Collective,  the digital advertising business formed through the integration of Snigel and Publisher Collective, today announced the appointment of Andrew Buckman as Chief Executive Officer. Andrew will define and deliver the strategic vision for the company, strengthening relationships with its publisher network, advertisers, and media agencies, while leading the company through its next phase following the merger with Snigel. Andrew replaces Christian Jeschko as CEO, with Christian remaining with the company as Chief Operating Officer, focusing on growth initiatives and publisher partnerships.

With nearly three decades of industry experience, including 26 years specialising in ad tech, Andrew previously served as CEO at Sublime, successfully overseeing the company during its exit to Azerion and staying with the acquirer for a further four years. In that time, Andrew managed M&A activity, HR, marketing, and investor relations.

As CEO of Publisher Collective, Andrew will be responsible for driving the company’s overall direction, performance, and long-term value creation. His immediate priorities include integrating teams and systems to create a unified and stronger organisation. He will also be expanding publisher partnerships, enhancing monetisation capabilities, and delivering sustainable profitability within a fast-evolving digital advertising ecosystem as independent publishers navigate today’s challenging landscape.

“Joining Publisher Collective at such a pivotal moment is a great opportunity for me,” commented Andrew Buckman, CEO, Publisher Collective. “Quality, credible journalism has never been more important, yet publishers are facing unprecedented challenges, including pressure on site traffic, declining ad prices, and difficulties with monetisation. We will be identifying growth opportunities across our publisher network, delivering new ad formats, and data-driven sustainable monetisation solutions. On the advertiser and agency side, I’m excited to be joining a company with a strong and diverse portfolio of publishers offering high-quality, brand-safe audiences that advertisers want to engage with.

“What attracted me to this role is the opportunity to create something of value for publishers, advertisers, employees, and investors. I’m looking forward to working in an environment where I can have a direct impact on the personal development of the team, dealing directly with all aspects of the business and driving change.”
