Matter Communications Announces Leadership Promotions and Growth in Boston

Matter Communications — an agency delivering award-winning PR supported by marketing and creative solutions – today announced the promotion of Meaghan O’Donnell to Vice President, People, alongside the appointment of Angela Bonnici as Vice President, Growth and Head of the agency’s Boston office. Together, these leadership updates reflect Matter’s continued investment in its people, culture, and long-term growth in Boston and beyond.

O’Donnell’s promotion marks a milestone for the agency, as she becomes the first HR leader at Matter to hold this title. Since joining the firm, she has played a central role in strengthening Matter’s people-first culture — leading human resources strategy while championing employee engagement, growth, and the agency’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).

In addition to overseeing all HR operations, O’Donnell has been a driving force behind Matter’s Helping Hands Volunteer Program and broader charitable giving initiatives, helping embed community impact into the agency’s everyday work and values.

“Meaghan brings a rare balance of strategic rigor, empathy, and operational excellence to her role,” said Scott Signore, Chief Executive Officer at Matter. “Her leadership has helped shape an agency culture where people feel supported, heard, and empowered to do their best work. As we continue to grow, her expanded role ensures our team and our values remain at the center of everything we do.”

As part of its continued expansion in New England, Matter also announced the appointment of Angela Bonnici as Vice President, Growth and Head of the Boston office. In this role, Bonnici will lead business development and growth initiatives while overseeing the agency’s Boston operations. She brings more than 20 years of experience in PR, business development, and agency leadership, with a proven track record of driving growth and scaling client partnerships.

“I’m truly honored to step into this role at such an exciting time for Matter,” said Bonnici. “Boston is a dynamic, innovation-driven market, and I’m passionate about helping the agency grow, while developing the next generation of industry leaders. I look forward to building on our momentum and strengthening our presence in the community.”

Signore added that Boston remains central to the agency’s long-term vision.

“Boston has always been a critical market for Matter, and these leadership updates position us strongly for what’s ahead,” he said. “With award-winning PR at our core, supported by high-impact marketing programs, we’re focused on helping clients grow with confidence — while staying deeply rooted in the communities where we live and work.”

Matter’s Boston office serves as a hub for integrated PR and marketing programs across technology, consumer, healthcare, and professional services. The agency regularly hosts industry events and community gatherings, reinforcing its commitment to collaboration, connection, and local engagement.
