Performance marketing, technology and publishing start-up, Citrus Ornge has appointed Ian Woolley as its new Non-Executive Chairman.

He will work closely with Founder, Jason Baker, taking a leadership role on the Citrus Ornge board and helping it to expand from new challenger lead generation business to established sector thought leader. Ian will offer insight across the entire business, but specifically oversee financial management, strategic direction and long-term growth.

Ian Woolley, Non-Executive Chairman, Citrus Ornge says, “I am incredibly proud to be part of this new venture and am excited for the future of Citrus Ornge. I have worked with Jason for many years and his passion and commercial acumen will no doubt drive this business forward. This, coupled with his dedication to success, made my decision to come on board very easy. Jason and his team have all come a long way both personally and professionally and I look forward to further supporting this new business.”

Ian currently holds the role of Chief Revenue Officer at Ensighten and has over 20 years of business leadership experience, specialising in sales, communication and marketing strategies, while developing and delivering new initiatives.

Previously he held the position of Chief Commercial Officer at Visual DNA as well as senior roles at Interpublic Group’s Draft Digital (now FCB Global), blinkx and Burst Media, to which Jason worked for many years under his stewardship. The two also share a common military history.

Jason Baker, who has been in recovery for over four years, has centred Citrus Ornge’s business model around a core social mission; to provide employment for those recovering from addiction and ex-offenders through several work experience and mentoring initiatives with local community partners in Brighton and Hove. He has high hopes that his business will change societal stigmas when it comes to employment.

Citrus Ornge’s Founder Jason Baker, comments, “I am absolutely delighted to have Ian on board. We have a great product, a growing team and have delivered proven results for our clients to date.

“Ian and I have worked together previously and he has seen my journey before, during and after getting sober. He appreciates the challenges people face getting back into work and he understands how passionate I am about building a fantastic business that we can all be proud of. Ian will add real gravitas to our business and steer us on to even more success in the UK and beyond.”

The business has impressive plans that include several owned and operated publishing sites, which will be launching in the coming months, along with further board member announcements.
