Wovenware Expands Operations in First-Half 2022

Wovenware, a nearshore provider of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and custom software engineering solutions, announced today that it has significantly expanded its operations in 2022, repositioning itself to meet accelerated growth by growing its staff, partnering with new customers, developing innovative solutions and receiving recognition among leading industry analyst firms and accelerator companies.

Record Employee Expansion

With a combined staff of more than 180 professionals today, Wovenware added 72 new hires in the first half of 2022, including the addition of a news sales manager, who will guide the company’s expansion into new and existing markets. Additionally, Wovenware significantly expanded its marketing team, appointing a director of marketing, and adding new members to the team to manage social media, graphics & design, email marketing, website development and content creation. The company also appointed senior data scientists, software engineers, project managers and design experts across the U.S. to work on critical AI and software development programs.

Industry Accolades

In addition to its 2021 recognition for its AI and Computer vision capabilities by IDC, Gartner and Forrester, Wovenware has received recognition by HFS Research as a “Hot Vendor.” The firm noted Wovenware’s “outcome-centric, consultative approach that blends a broad set of AI disciplines with software development.”

Wovenware also was recognized as one of the top 20 business processing outsourcing (BPO) firms in Puerto Rico, by Outsource Accelerator.

Integrated Service Design, Software and AI Development Practice

Wovenware launched its Service Design practice in 2020 to help customers take a human–centric approach to digital transformation. Since then, it has developed integrated programs that have helped companies identify user needs and develop the right solutions to solve them. The company has developed successful solutions for clients, such as a major judiciary system, a leading health insurer and others. Wovenware is one of the only nearshore software and AI solutions consultancies to offer an integrated, multidisciplinary team comprised of in-house service design professionals, software engineers, data architects and data scientists who together ideate and deliver custom digital experiences for customers.

Expanding Customer Base

In the first half of 2022, Wovenware initiated digital transformation projects for clients in healthcare, supply chain, financial services, energy and other markets. One key project was the redesign and development of a mobile app for a leader in healthcare delivery, which allows its visiting nurses to accurately enter key patient information in real-time for more than 85,000 homebound patients.

Wovenware also has expanded its work with government contractors, developing computer vision applications that allow them to identify satellite imagery with incredible accuracy.

Product Innovation

Wovenware recently was granted a patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for its method of generating synthetic overhead imagery needed to develop deep learning, computer vision models for government and commercial applications in regulated industries. Since then, it has used its proprietary methodology with clients in both public and private sectors.
