Topol.io, a company that makes an embeddable, drag-and-drop email editor, has today announced its official separation from parent company Ecomail—maker of the leading email marketing platform in Central Europe. Initially only available within the Ecomail platform, Topol became available as a standalone app and plugin in 2017. It now serves over 12,000 customers across both offerings, with the plugin—embedded in nearly 200 SaaS platforms—showing the greatest market momentum.
After over a decade of quiet development under the umbrella of Ecomail, the newly formed company, TOPOL.io s.r.o., took over all customer contracts, development resources, and support responsibilities related to the Topol product line on 1 August 2025. This is a major strategic milestone, as it will allow Topol to pursue its own roadmap, brand identity, and developer-first product strategy.
“The Topol app is—and always will be—optimized for business professionals that want to quickly build responsive email templates. But, after seeing how much dev teams value our embeddable plugin, we’ve decided to concentrate even more effort on meeting their needs” says Jakub Gause, Topol.io’s Head of Development.
Developers can integrate the white-label editor into SaaS products like CRMs with just a few lines of code, enabling their own users to quickly build pixel-perfect emails. For marketers and other non-technical users, Topol’s clean and simple interface enables all essential email features and integrates directly with dozens of email service providers. Features include row-level looping, merge tags, mobile/desktop visibility controls, multi-language support, and clean HTML export.
Alongside fast embeddability and ease of use, Topol distinguishes itself with its pricing model, offering a predictable, per-seat approach rather than usage-based pricing. This makes it especially attractive to early-stage startups and growth-oriented tools.
Looking ahead, Topol.io plans to expand into a full suite of embeddable communication tools. A landing page builder is already in development, and the company is actively exploring modules for transactional email orchestration, media asset management, and full AI-powered email generation.
Topol is the first of several standalone tools to emerge from Ecomail’s internal R&D. Others—like DmarcEye (a domain authentication monitor) and Pixla (a browser-based image editor)—are also evolving toward legal independence. Together, these tools form the early stages of a modular ecosystem designed for developers and business professionals working across email communication, security, and design.
“The Topol spinout is just the beginning,” says Jakub Stupka, co-founder of Ecomail and Topol.io. “As we continue to develop the Ecomail platform, we’ll be spinning out more lightweight, embeddable tools that give teams the freedom to build the email stack they need, without vendor lock-in or bloated complexity.”
